Honda Scrambler build aka HeadHunter

Updated: Jun 24, 2019

We acquired this bike, a Honda Xr600rj back in November 2017. The bike was original and in good nik, just some scratches and, Cosmetics were in good condition too, which is unusual on an enduro bike.

At the time we thought we leave it standard as is, but after a year saying yes and know it was decided that it will be stripped and transformed into a modern day scrambler.

The design was done and work started, most accessories acquired; the rest its just a great amount of DIY fab work 'Just ;)' All work is done inhouse and that includes metal works, mechanics, blast and powdercoat.

This is gona look damn cool!

Finally after a long awaited weekend off, I managed to find some 'free' time to continue the Honda. Most of the rear mounts including the seat, rear boxes and exhaust are in place. The exhaust is designed and will be custom made. Today I also realigned and fitted the Smith's vintage dash clock on the tank. I'm still unsure if I use it or find a Jap one instead.

Whichever it is, it's gona look cool :)

More progress on the Honda today, all cables removed and handlebars changed, 2.5 inch narrower on each side; prefer it from the others but will see as we go along. Tomorrow all required brackets and fittings will be in place, following by the complete disassembly of the bike
